With characters that rise up off of the page to either yank you in close to whisper secrets that unravel you or sit you down with whiskey while they slowly carve a bloody truth you can't turn away from. Immersive, raw and haunting, we're introduced to a voice unafraid to enter the dark rooms of the familiar to reveal what is hiding in the closet; in even the most mundane of rooms he seems to tell us, there's always a closet with a surprising amount of skeletons. The beauty is how alive the characters feel and in turn, make us feel.
